Hi all, As I live in Australia I am out of touch with the summer times "up there" For example, on the forum calendar it says that NFP was to be announced at 12.30 GMT. On my software the price "took off" at 14.30 GMT ( I am using SBFX MT4

I think the times on the forum calender are at GMT, but without the daylight savings time of the UK added. For example: I live in Belgium, normally GMT +1, one hour added compared to the UK, but I have to put the calender at GMT +2 in order to get the timing correct for local use. Was confusing at first too.. L.A.

Hi LA, OK, so now UK opens at 9.00am GMT is that right ? I think forum must have made some adjustment to their times as well otherwise the announcement and the reaction should be at the same GMT time but they aren't Money grows on the tree of persistence

OK, I have been able to confirm that my feed from SBFX is two hours fast, that explains my problem. Does any one know if it possible to alter the time displayed on the chart or can anyone give me a link to an MT4 supplier that uses GMT for the feed. thanks Money grows on the tree of persistence

All times match up with the forum calender. London open at 07:00GMT etc... and so on. Bundy's status today: "Waiting..."

It seems my complaint has alerted my data feed to the fact that their clock went nuts in the last update As I am downunder, I mainly trade the Euro / UK open sessions. It used to be that Euro was 1 hr ahead of UK, now, according to the site "World Market Hours" Euro is opening 2 hrs before UK. Is this right, as I am fairly new at this I have not been through the "summer time" variations of the markets. In relation to GMT, does Europe still open at 7.00 GMT and does the UK now open at 9.00 GMT. If there have been changes, at what dates do the changes occur and when do they change back? Thanks Money grows on the tree of persistence

Hi , been there, done that All I would like is for someone to tell me what time Europe opens and UK opens in relation to GMT this coming week. I realise it is usually Europe at 7.00 and UK at 8.00, but with summer time, are those opening times still correct? On the "world market times" site it states that there is 2 hours between Europe opening(7.00

In the Main Page, change the Mini Clock Display from "Countdown" to "Local"

Hi all, Unfortunately, seems nobody can answer my question so I will give another example Friday on the forum calendar, there were announcements in the US at 12.30 GMT and at 3.00 GMT. On one feed I have a spike down at 14.30 GMT and the other feed spikes down at 13.30 GMT, neither of which ties in with the announcement timing. Could someone in the US, not using SBFX or CMC feeds, tell me when the spike down happened and did it match with either of the announcement times. Thanks Macca Money grows on the tree of persistence

It's a bugger to work out mate. Been there done that. Here's a pic that should help you get your bearings... Includes another spike that you should be able to correlate with your chart. EUR/USD on Friday 9th June 2006. Bundy's status today: "Waiting..."

Hi Bundy, My data feeds both say GMT but obviously they are not. Tried a third data feed, it clearly says on chart GMT +1, then it all ties in OK. Thanks for your help Macca Money grows on the tree of persistence

Your welcome. I know how frustrating it is not having a solid idea of your chart's timezone. Makes opens and news time easier to prepare for when you know, for sure. Bundy's status today: "Waiting..."

I finally had to go down to wal-Mart and get a couple of cheap clocks and set one to GMT and one to Zulu time. Nolite dormiens pungere ursum.

Quoting Watch out now Went and bought myself another clock !!! This clock will be set to GMT ONLY ....................touch it and you die Macca So simple. Yet so brilliant! Never thought of just going down to the local $2 shop and buying a few clocks and labeling them. Duct tape them to the monitor, and voil!!! Bundy's status today: "Waiting..."

Hey Al Bundy - put this in your favorites: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ edit: I guess it doesn't help with the MT4 time change but worth having around.
